Nairobi is set to welcome a new music experience as British-Nigerian R&B singer and songwriter Odeal prepares to headline the inaugural edition of The Soulcial in December.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2026, at Kasarani Indoor Arena, will bring together fans of alternative R&B, contemporary soul and Afro-fusion for an evening celebrating some of the sounds shaping modern music.
Founded by Dickson Matata of Crispy Life Events, The Soulcial aims to create a space for music lovers who appreciate soulful performances and contemporary sounds beyond mainstream entertainment.
Odeal, who has built an international following through his unique blend of alternative R&B, African influences and soulful songwriting, will lead the event’s first edition.
The singer is known for popular releases such as Soh-Soh and You’re Stuck, which have helped establish his profile among audiences across different markets. His Nairobi performance will give Kenyan fans an opportunity to experience his music live.
Speaking about the launch, Matata said the event was created to bring together people with a shared appreciation for R&B, soul and the sounds influencing contemporary music.
“We wanted to create an experience that brings together people who share an appreciation for R&B, soul and the sounds influencing contemporary music. The Soulcial gives us an opportunity to celebrate that music in a live setting and create something audiences can look forward to. We are excited to introduce it to Nairobi with Odeal headlining our first edition,” he said.
Three entertainment companies join forces
The event is being organised through a partnership between Crispy Life Events, Most Wanted Entertainment and Fenon Premium Production.
Crispy Life Events has previously been involved in entertainment experiences such as Peaches & Cream and Rhythm & Brunch, while Most Wanted Entertainment is behind Asili.
Fenon Premium Production will bring its live event production expertise to the collaboration.
The organisers say they are combining their experience in entertainment, event curation and production to establish The Soulcial as a fresh addition to Nairobi’s live music calendar, with plans to grow it into a recurring experience.
The inaugural edition will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi.
