As the political winds blow in every direction in Mombasa, ODM generals have turned their guns on UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Sarai over his recent remarks about how the dead would vote on election day.
While ODM leaders are busy throwing political jabs at Sarai, the UDA squad appears to have unveiled a brand-new campaign strategy: “Operation Sh500 Recruitment Drive.”

Word on the street is that Nyali MP aspirant Abdulsamad Ali “AA” has been crowned the party’s Chief Recruitment Officer, allegedly roaming around convincing supporters that the grass is greener and the wallet just a little heavier on the other side, as he brags to be getting some tenders at the KPA.
The funniest part? The “premium campaign package” is said to be Sh500 and good vibes, payable upon successful decamping.
“AA is in Sarai’s camp. He is not getting the MP seat, he just wants to position himself somewhere, actually he is just a destroyer. You can’t compare him with Abdikadir Dekow and The recruitment department is working overtime. We’ve been signing players from rival teams for Sh500. Welcome to Mombasa politics, where loyalty is apparently cheaper than a plate of biryani,” said the source.
At this rate, party hopping in Mombasa comes with a sign-on bonus, and political loyalty is changing hands faster than mitumba on a busy day at Kongowea Market.
