Vipingo Industries Limited has denied claims linking it to a vehicle filmed during the recent Ol Kalou by-election, following a report by NTV alleging the vehicle belonged to the company.
In a statement, the company said it does own a motor vehicle bearing registration number KDW 600Q, but clarified that its vehicle is a Toyota Probox, not the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado shown in the NTV footage bearing the same number plate.
“We categorically deny this claim… we have no connection whatsoever to it or the reported activities and individuals in question,” the company said.
Vipingo Industries described itself as a responsible Kenyan company committed to lawful business activities, ethical practices and transparency.
The company confirmed it has reported the matter to police under OB No. 14/18/7/2026 and pledged full cooperation with any investigation.
“We remain committed to transparency and will cooperate with any relevant authorities if required,” the statement added.
The company has not commented further on the identity of the vehicle’s actual owner or the individuals seen in the NTV footage.
