Rhythm & Brunch has celebrated two years of redefining Nairobi’s lifestyle and entertainment scene, marking the milestone with a vibrant anniversary edition at Ngong Racecourse that brought together music lovers, tastemakers and culture enthusiasts for an immersive celebration of 90s and 2000s R&B.
Inspired by the Old Money Aesthetics theme, guests embraced timeless fashion as they enjoyed an experience that blended nostalgic music, elevated style and carefully curated entertainment, reflecting the evolution of a platform that has become synonymous with premium daytime experiences in the city.
The anniversary celebration featured electrifying DJ sets by DJ Adrian, E The DJ, Nijo and JT The Drone, alongside live performances from Lisa Oduor, Noah, Chemtai Sage and Maokinlay, who delivered an unforgettable soundtrack that kept guests entertained throughout the day.
Over the past two years, Rhythm & Brunch has established itself as one of Kenya’s leading lifestyle experiences by celebrating nostalgia, community and high-quality entertainment. What began as an event dedicated to the golden era of R&B has evolved into a cultural movement, attracting a loyal audience that continues to shape Nairobi’s social and lifestyle landscape.
Speaking during the celebration, Dickson Matata, Co-Founder of Rhythm & Brunch, said the platform was created to offer more than just an event.
“Two years ago, we saw an opportunity to create more than just another event—we wanted to build a cultural platform that celebrates great music, meaningful connections and elevated experiences. Rhythm & Brunch has become a community because people see themselves in what we’ve created. As we look ahead, our focus is on continuing to innovate, raise the standard for lifestyle experiences and build a brand that resonates well beyond Nairobi.”
The anniversary edition underscored Rhythm & Brunch’s commitment to intentional programming, premium production and authentic experiences that continue to attract a growing community of guests. From the music selection and live performances to the fashion theme and overall guest experience, every element was designed to celebrate the people who have supported the brand’s journey over the past two years.
As Rhythm & Brunch enters its third year, the platform remains focused on expanding its footprint, creating even more immersive experiences and strengthening its position as Kenya’s home of nostalgic 90s and 2000s R&B culture.
