Infinity Industrial Park Limited has called on the public and the media to verify claims about its legal dispute with Bank of Baroda (Kenya) Limited against official High Court records, following a public notice from the bank warning against “unverified information” online.
In a statement, the company said information about the proceedings should be assessed against the orders, rulings, decree and other records issued by the High Court of Kenya. It said it has no interest in circulating unverified information and that its public communications on the case are based on court documents and developments before the court.
“We therefore welcome verification,” the company said, encouraging the public to look at the court record rather than rely on statements from either party.
The company also acknowledged that some matters remain before the court, including contempt proceedings, and said these must be decided by the court and should not be presented as already determined.
Infinity Industrial Park further said auctioneers have already given the bank 14 days’ notice. It did not say in the statement what the notice relates to or when it was issued.
