In a historic turn of events, leading gaming firm Betika has officially crowned eight new millionaires from its Must Be Won Jackpot, with each winner taking home KES 6.3 million.

The landmark payout marks the conclusion of the second eight-week Must Be Won Jackpot cycle—an innovative initiative where the KES 50 million grand prize is guaranteed, regardless of whether a player correctly predicts all 15 matches.

At the end of the cycle, the prize was shared among the top performers who each correctly predicted 13 out of 15 matches.

Among the winners is Beatrice Njoki Ngari, a 77-year-old tea and coffee farmer from Kirinyaga County. Her son, Joseph Mwai, placed the winning bet using her mobile line.

For Joseph Muchangi Mwai, a resident of Njoro in Nakuru County, the win marks a major family milestone. The father of one, who placed his bet just days earlier, now looks forward to greater financial security with his wife, Claire.

“I could hardly believe it when I heard the news,” he said. “This win is for my son, Myles, and my wife. It’s a blessing that will change how we live and plan for the future.”

Other winners include Chebii Musa Chepchieng, a former matatu driver from Nakuru who has played for nine years; Duncan Ouma Oliech from Kibera; and Joseph Mutua Wambua, a mitumba shoe hawker from Kasarani.

The list is completed by Raphael Moi Pambo (Kisii), Zachayo Kanyaru Njogu (Nyeri), and Royford Gitonga Mutuerandu (Meru), all of whom successfully navigated the jackpot to claim their share.

“This is a landmark day not just for Betika, but for the entire Kenyan gaming industry,” said Eric Mwiti, Group Head of Brand at Betika.

“By delivering on our promise of a guaranteed KES 50 million payout through this eight-week cycle, we have reached a historic milestone. This is not just about numbers—it’s about transforming lives.”

The payout underscores Betika’s commitment to transparency and rewarding its player community. By ensuring the jackpot is awarded even without a perfect score, the platform continues to redefine the gaming experience in Kenya, promoting a more inclusive and engaging model of participation.
