NAIROBI, Kenya — Samsung Electronics East Africa is deepening its retail footprint in Kenya as Megahub Connect Limited opens its second Samsung Experience Store (SES), targeting Nairobi’s high-traffic Central Business District as demand for premium technology and connected devices continues to grow.

The new outlet, located at Cameo Building along Kenyatta Avenue, becomes the 23rd Samsung Experience Store in Kenya and the 29th across East Africa, strengthening the technology giant’s physical retail presence in one of the region’s most important consumer markets.

The expansion comes two years after Megahub opened its first Samsung Experience Store at Hilton in 2024, with the latest investment signalling growing confidence in Kenya’s appetite for premium smartphones, televisions, wearables, home appliances and other connected devices.

Rather than operating as a conventional electronics shop, the new store has been designed around an experiential retail model, allowing customers to interact with Samsung products before making purchasing decisions.

Consumers can see, touch and test the latest devices while exploring how different products within Samsung’s ecosystem work together.

The strategy reflects a broader shift in consumer electronics retail, where customers increasingly want more than shelves stocked with products. For premium technology brands, physical stores are becoming spaces for product education, demonstrations and customer engagement.

For Megahub, the CBD location also offers access to Nairobi’s large concentration of professionals, businesses, shoppers and visitors, potentially expanding its customer base beyond conventional electronics buyers.

The partnership with Samsung Electronics East Africa comes as competition in Kenya’s consumer technology market intensifies, with manufacturers and retailers increasingly investing in direct customer experiences to differentiate their products.

The new Experience Store is therefore positioned not simply as another retail outlet, but as a physical gateway into Samsung’s wider technology ecosystem.

Megahub’s expansion also highlights the growing importance of strategic retail locations in the technology sector, where proximity to consumers can influence product discovery, brand loyalty and ultimately purchasing decisions.

With its second outlet now operational, Megahub is seeking to build on the momentum generated by its Hilton store while Samsung continues expanding its network of branded retail experiences across Kenya and the wider East African market.

The Cameo Building outlet is expected to give Nairobi consumers easier access to Samsung’s newest innovations while giving the company and its retail partner a stronger presence at the heart of the capital’s commercial activity.
