NAIROBI, Kenya, August 26, 2026 — Nairobi Burger Week is back, with more than 400 restaurants set to take part in the city’s biggest burger celebration from August 27 to September 6, 2026.

The 10-day campaign will give Nairobians an opportunity to explore the capital’s diverse food scene through one of its most popular comfort foods, with participating restaurants offering special burger experiences throughout the festival.

The campaign is designed to encourage diners to discover new restaurants, revisit familiar favourites and uncover hidden gems across different neighbourhoods in Nairobi.

The return of Nairobi Burger Week comes as social media, food creators and online communities increasingly influence how consumers discover restaurants and decide where to eat.

“Food is increasingly becoming one of the ways people discover and experience Nairobi. We see people constantly sharing where they have eaten, recommending hidden gems and encouraging others to try new places,” said Wendy Lorenze, General Manager, Eat Out Kenya.

She said Burger Week brings together Nairobi’s growing food-discovery culture by giving consumers an opportunity to explore restaurants they may not previously have considered.

“Burger Week brings that spirit of discovery into one shared experience, giving people a reason to explore restaurants they may not have visited before while celebrating the diversity of Nairobi’s food scene,” she added.

Throughout the festival, diners will be able to discover participating restaurants and their Burger Week offers through the Eat Out website and Instagram page.

The event brings together players from across the food, beverage, mobility, delivery and payments sectors, with partners supporting participating restaurants and consumers during the 10-day celebration.

Cheese Love and Kenafric, through its Kingsmill brand, are offering participating restaurants promotional pricing on selected ingredients, while Clique is supporting restaurants with more than 700 discounted products aimed at helping kitchens manage their operations during the campaign.

EABL is also participating as a beverage partner, offering draught beer pairings designed to complement signature burgers at participating venues.

Consumers choosing to enjoy Burger Week at home will also have access to delivery offers through Uber Eats and Glovo, including discounts and free delivery promotions.

Uber is further supporting the campaign by offering diners up to 50 per cent off rides to and from participating restaurants, making it easier for customers to move around the city and sample different Burger Week experiences.

For diners paying at participating outlets, Safaricom M-PESA is offering instant Airtime Rewards, adding an additional incentive for customers to use the mobile payment platform during the campaign.

Coca-Cola is also supporting the 2026 edition as a beverage partner, contributing to the wider food and hospitality experience.

Beyond burgers, organisers say the festival is ultimately about encouraging Nairobians to engage with the city’s evolving restaurant culture.

Whether discovering a neighbourhood restaurant, sampling a new interpretation of the classic burger or visiting a venue that has become popular through word-of-mouth and social media, Nairobi Burger Week aims to turn dining into an opportunity for exploration.

With more than 400 restaurants participating, the 2026 edition is expected to offer diners a wide range of tastes, styles and experiences across the capital.

For 10 days, Nairobians will have an opportunity to eat their way through the city—one burger at a time.
