Golfers will this weekend take part in the 2025 Kenya Ports Authority [KPA] annual golf circuit tournament to be played at the Nyali Golf and Country Club in Mombasa county.

A total of over 225 are expected to convene at the golf course which is 71 per in 18 holes during the one day tournament.

The first  batch of the golfers will tee-off in the morning while the second batch will tee-off at 2 pm with the awarding ceremony expected to take place on the same day in the evening.

According to the weekend draw released by the tournament organizers the format of the day will be stableford off 95 per handicap.

Prominent veteran amateur golfer Christine Ockotch is in the weekend’s draw.

In 2022 home golfer Truphena Oyaro won the title at handicap 22. 

Devan Bonebrake, a prominent and highly-regarded golfer, is also expected to take part during the weekend’s tournament.

Also expected to participate is KPA officer Michael Sangoro.

Sangoro had finished fourth in the staff category with a score of 35 points during the KPA Golf Series played at the Mombasa Golf Club in 2022.

Prior to the KPA tournament this weekend the club had hosted a successful mid-week ICPAK charity golf tournament where  a total of 140 golfers took part.
