Little-known Kenya Moja Movement party managed to field candidates for all parliamentary posts in the just concluded mini polls.

Voter bribery and intimidation of voters dominated the exercise as over 10 people carrying crude weapons are reported to have engaged in violence in Kasipul constituency.

The Magarini by election in Kilifi county was reduced to a two-horse race between DCP candidate Stanley Kenga and former area MP Harrison Kombe who was vying on an ODM ticket.

The Kariobangi North Ward seat has attracted 19 candidates being the highest number of candidates during the by elections.

The seat became vacant following the death of area Member of County Assembly [MCA] Joel Munuve, who died in April from a blood clot.

Ugenya constituency which has 60,114 registered voters and 116 polling stations has four wards namely Ugunja, Uholo East, Uholo North and   Ukwala East.

In Malava constituency within Kakamega county there were reported cases of vehicles being burnt.

Cases of shoving and threats were repotted in 24 by elections within Mbeere North constituency where a total of 181 candidates were cleared to seek for elective posts by the IEBC.
