Samsung Care+ offers subsidised screen repairs through authorised service centres, giving Galaxy owners an additional layer of protection beyond the standard warranty.
Samsung is expanding access to Samsung Care+, a service plan designed to help Galaxy smartphone owners manage the cost of accidental damage, including cracked screens, through the company’s authorised service network.
The plan provides eligible customers with a subsidised repair fee for one qualifying screen repair during a 12-month coverage period, using genuine Samsung parts and trained technicians.
Care+ is separate from, but complements, Samsung’s standard 24-month warranty. While the warranty covers manufacturing defects at no charge for two years from the date of purchase, Care+ is designed for accidental damage that would normally fall outside the warranty.
Customers must register their eligible devices within 30 days of activation to access the Care+ benefit.
How much does a Care+ repair cost?
The subsidised repair fees vary by country and Galaxy device series.
| Market | Z Series | S Series | A Series (A32–A73) | A Series (A14–A27) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kenya | KES 15,693 | KES 7,847 | KES 3,923 | KES 3,139 |
| Tanzania | TZS 320,689 | TZS 160,344 | TZS 80,172 | TZS 64,138 |
| Ethiopia | ETB 19,563 | ETB 9,782 | ETB 4,891 | ETB 3,913 |
| Uganda | UGX 447,262 | UGX 223,631 | UGX 111,815 | UGX 89,452 |
The pricing means eligible Galaxy A-series owners in Kenya, for example, can access a screen repair for as little as KES 3,139, depending on their device.
For consumers who would otherwise have to pay full out-of-warranty repair rates, the plan can reduce the financial impact of accidental screen damage.
Warranty vs Care+
The two programmes serve different purposes.
Samsung’s standard warranty addresses manufacturer defects, while Care+ covers qualifying accidental damage.
That distinction is important because accidental damage, such as a cracked display following a drop, would generally not be covered under the standard warranty.
Care+ is therefore positioned as an additional protection option rather than a replacement for the manufacturer’s warranty.
Who qualifies?
Care+ is available for selected genuine Samsung smartphones sold with an applicable 24-month warranty in the participating East African markets.
The programme does not apply to grey-import devices.
Newly launched Fold and Flip models are also not currently covered locally where they are not officially ranged with an applicable 24-month warranty.
How Galaxy owners can register
Customers can register for Care+ through two channels.
They can sign up online by entering their device’s IMEI or serial number on the Samsung Care+ platform.
For newer Galaxy smartphones running One UI 9, registration is also available directly from the device through:
Settings → Warranty & Care
Supported newer models include the Galaxy S26 FE, A08, A18, Fold8 and Flip8 series.
For repairs and technical support, customers are directed to Samsung’s authorised service-centre network.
In Kenya, Samsung customers can also contact the company’s customer care line on 0800 545 545.
For full eligibility and registration details, customers can check Samsung Care+ on Samsung Africa’s website.
