Perpetua Mponjiwa has been unanimously re-elected as the Chairperson of the Education Committee at the Nairobi City County Assembly, earning another term to lead the committee for the remainder of the Assembly’s tenure.
Speaking after her re-election, Mponjiwa expressed gratitude to fellow Members of the County Assembly for the confidence they had shown in her leadership.
“I want to thank Members for showing confidence in me. As usual, we have achieved a lot together, and that is the spirit we should continue embracing,” she said.
Members who supported her re-election cited her hard work, commitment, and resilience in steering the committee’s affairs.
Mountain View MCA Maurice Ochieng praised Mponjiwa’s leadership, saying her performance had earned her the trust of fellow members.
“She has done well, and we have faith and confidence that she will achieve even more in her new term,” said Ochieng.
Her re-election is seen as a vote of confidence in her leadership and the committee’s efforts to improve the education sector within Nairobi City County.
