Nairobi City County Assembly Speaker Ken Ngondi on Monday led a delegation of Members of the County Assembly in visiting Makadara MP George Aladwa, who remains admitted to hospital following an illness that has kept him away from public engagements.

The delegation conveyed messages of goodwill and wished the veteran ODM legislator a speedy recovery as he continues receiving treatment.

Aladwa, one of ODM’s most influential figures in Nairobi politics, has attracted an outpouring of support from leaders across the political divide since news of his hospitalization emerged.

Among those who have visited the Makadara lawmaker are COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, ODM Deputy Party Leader Oburu Odinga, fellow Members of Parliament, county leaders and political allies from different parties.

The steady stream of visitors underscores Aladwa’s stature in national and county politics, where he has played a central role in shaping ODM’s grassroots structures and political mobilization efforts, particularly in Nairobi.

Leaders who have visited the MP described him as a dedicated public servant and expressed optimism that he will soon return to active leadership and service to the people of Makadara.

While details of his illness have not been made public, well-wishers continue to send prayers and messages of encouragement as the legislator recovers.

His hospitalization has sparked concern among supporters and political colleagues, many of whom have praised his contribution to both Nairobi and national politics over the years.

The visit by Speaker Ken Ngondi has rekindled memories of the defunct City Council days when the two served as councilors in the capital city.

Majority leader Peter Imwatok was also present.
