NAIVASHA,KENYA –  It was a day to remember for Galana Energies as they offered a different kind of high-octane drama at the ongoing 2026 World Rally Championships (WRC) Safari Rally on Friday.

Galana Energies Malewa station, which served as one of the fueling stations for the speedy vehicles,  gave fans a rare, up-close look at the precision required to keep WRC machines alive in the world’s toughest rally.

A Safari Rally Pit Stop for the History Books

Throughout the day, the quiet of the Malewa station was shattered by the roar of rally engines as drivers pulled in for crucial refueling. For the hundreds of enthusiasts gathered, it was a masterclass in professional choreography.

Spectators watched in awe as pit crews worked with surgical speed, ensuring the cars were primed to head back into the “unforgiving” Safari Rally route.

The strategic location of the Malewa station turned it into a natural hub, bridging the gap between the elite world of WRC drivers and the local fans who power the sport’s spirit.

It was not just the professionals getting the VIP treatment. In a unique move to bring the rally adrenaline to the public, Galana Energies launched a “mock pit stop” activation for their regular customers.

Motorists pulling in for a standard refill found themselves treated like championship contenders. The Galana crew delivered Rapid engine and tyre checks, Curated vehicle servicing at rally pace and Sharp, coordinated execution usually reserved for the world’s fastest drivers.

Galana Fueling Kenya’s Mobility Culture

Speaking at the event, Sharon Bachia, Head of Marketing at Galana Energies, noted that the activation was about celebrating Kenya’s deep-rooted love for the Safari Rally.

“Safari Rally is an iconic Kenyan sporting moment, and being part of the ecosystem that keeps it moving is something we are incredibly proud of,” Bachia stated.

As the rally continues through the weekend, the Malewa station remains a symbol of the vital “behind-the-scenes” operations that make the Safari Rally a global spectacle. For the fans who were there on Friday, they didn’t just watch the rally—they felt its heartbeat.
