More than 2,000 women from across Nairobi County gathered this morning in a powerful show of unity and civic engagement, voicing strong support for the Broad-Based Government and the President’s development-focused agenda.

The meeting, described by organizers as a forum for dialogue and empowerment, brought together women leaders, entrepreneurs, community mobilizers, and youth mentors who expressed optimism about an inclusive approach to governance that prioritizes opportunity over political division.

Speakers at the event emphasized that women are increasingly taking a central role in shaping Kenya’s social and economic future. They noted that policies centered on job creation, affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and expanded economic opportunities are directly impacting families and communities at the grassroots level.

Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi, popularly known as Mama Dago, was recognized for her continued engagement with women’s groups and her advocacy for programs that uplift households through enterprise support, education initiatives, and social protection efforts.

Participants said their endorsement of the Broad-Based Government reflects a desire for stability and progress, with many highlighting that development-driven leadership creates space for women to thrive as business owners, professionals, and community decision-makers.

“This is about choosing a future where women are seen, heard, and supported,” one community organizer said during the gathering. “When leadership focuses on empowerment and economic growth, families rise and the country moves forward together.”

The event concluded with a renewed call for unity, peaceful civic participation, and sustained collaboration between leaders and citizens to ensure development reaches every neighborhood across Nairobi County.
With chants of solidarity and messages of hope, the women reaffirmed their commitment to being active partners in Kenya’s development journey.
