Businessman Johnson Oduk has welcomed the nomination of Dr. Ida Odinga, terming it a well-deserved recognition that reflects her long-standing commitment to national development and public service.

He said the nomination is good for the ODM fraternity and is in line with the qualifications, values, and experience of Mama Ida, who has consistently demonstrated her love for the country.

Oduk noted that Dr. Ida Odinga has over the years distinguished herself as a passionate advocate for environmental conservation and sustainable development initiatives, adding that her leadership and dedication to such causes make her a fitting choice for the position.

He described her nomination as a boost to the party and an inspiration to women and young leaders across the country.

At the same time, Oduk called on ODM leaders and members to put an end to the internal wrangles that have recently rocked the party.

He warned that continued infighting could undermine the party’s unity and distract it from its core mission of serving the people.

As the party gears up for the 2027 general elections, Oduk urged leaders to embrace dialogue, tolerance, and respect for differing opinions, emphasizing that unity and cohesion will be critical to strengthening the party and positioning it for success.

He noted that ODM’s strength lies in its diversity of ideas and called on members to work together in the spirit of mutual respect and shared purpose.
