Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa has reaffirmed his commitment to collaborative governance following his participation in President William Samoei Ruto’s Nairobi Development Tour across Ruaraka, Kamukunji, and Embakasi constituencies.

Aladwa, who also serves as the Nairobi County Chairman of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), described the engagement as a strategic effort aimed at strengthening intergovernmental cooperation to accelerate infrastructure modernization and socio-economic revitalization in the capital.

The development tour focused on key urban transformation projects intended to improve infrastructure, stimulate economic activity, and enhance service delivery across Nairobi.

In a statement, Aladwa emphasized the importance of bipartisan collaboration in driving high-impact initiatives for city residents.

“We reaffirm our institutional commitment to constructive collaboration with the Presidency in the execution of people-centered development initiatives,” Aladwa said.

He noted that leaders from Nairobi had resolved to prioritize disciplined service to wananchi, unity of purpose, and inclusive growth as the foundation for sustainable urban progress.

The remarks signal continued cooperation between segments of ODM leadership in Nairobi and the national government on development matters, even as broader political realignments continue to shape the national landscape.

President Ruto’s Nairobi Development Tour forms part of ongoing efforts to fast-track infrastructure projects and urban renewal programs within the capital, which faces mounting pressure from rapid population growth and infrastructure demands.
