The Singleton in partnership with Nafasi hosted the 4th edition of The Taste of Expression, an exclusive dining experience that fused culinary artistry, culture, and visual storytelling at Village Creative in Nairobi.
Designed as an exploration of identity through food and art, the event brought together a select group of guests for an immersive evening defined by elegance, creativity, and cultural depth.

At the heart of the experience was a thoughtfully designed four-course menu by chef , who drew inspiration from Kenya’s coastal and northern regions to craft a menu rich in narrative and flavor.
The evening opened with a refined tilapia tartare on Swahili flatbread, alongside a vegetarian hummus and chickpea option. This was complemented by the Dufftown Sour, a light and refreshing cocktail made with The Singleton 12-Year-Old whisky, offering a balanced blend of citrus and smooth textures.
Heritage on the Plate

The main course delivered a bold culinary statement, featuring slow-cooked camel ragout served with couscous and root vegetables—an expression of both desert resilience and coastal sophistication.
