County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA) President Peter Imwatok today officiated the flagging off of the 6th Edition of the County Assemblies Sports Association Games in Meru County, an event attended by top officials from the devolved unit.
The event has attracted more than 30 county assemblies from across the nation, with the aim of improving sportsmanship and nurturing talent among Hon. Members and staff.
Speaking at Kinoru Stadium, Imwatok said the CASA Games have provided a better platform for Members to interact, showcase their indoor and outdoor prowess, and champion integration among counties.
“So far, everything is well organized, and we want to ask our County Assemblies to maintain peace and decorum in the upcoming games throughout the week. We shall have all disciplines scheduled with flexible fixtures so that everyone can participate in good time. What we also want to stress is that only Members and Staff should participate this is an event for our beloved County Assemblies and should be observed as such,” he said.
Meanwhile, as the CASA Games progress, Imwatok now serving his second term as President expressed pride in the sports development already achieved by the association.
“We are in the 6th edition with massive following and support from our Counties. Our main focus going forward is the stability of CASA,” he added.
